Hello, In the "Advanced Programming in the UNIX environment" by R.Stevens it is said that PostScript printers can return error messages and that there are about 25 of them, some like: Out of Paper, Cover Open, Miscellaneous Error, etc... Are these error messages taken into account by the lpd and is lpq abled to report them? If this is the case, can someone show me an example printcap file taht enables this error reporting? The book was written in 1993, is this information still relevant today? Thanks a lot in advance for any info, idea, Regards, Alain ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- YOU MUST BE A LIST MEMBER IN ORDER TO POST TO THE LPRNG MAILING LIST The address you post from MUST be your subscription address If you need help, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or lprng-requests or lprng-digest-requests) with the word 'help' in the body.
