Hi all,
Thanks for the quick help. I've been beating myself up over this one.
Here's the printcap I have now:
hp4k:
:lp=hp4000%9100
:af=/var/spool/lpd/%P/accounting.log
:as=JOBSTART $H $n $P $k $b $t
:ae=JOBEND $H $n $P $k $b $t
:of=/usr/local/libexec/filters/ifhp
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/%P
:lpd_bounce
:ifhp=model=hp4000
:ifhp=of_options=pagecount waitend
:filter=/usr/local/libexec/filters/ifhp
I haven't made any changes to ifhp.conf. The of filter times out with the
following error:
root@lprsrv ~/lpd/hp4k #lpq -Php4k
Printer: hp4k@lprsrv
Queue: 1 printable job
Server: pid 32201 active
Status: subserver pid 32202 exit status 'JABORT' at 11:23:08.255
Filter_status: (of) timeout at 11:23:08.244

Filter_status: (of) timeout at 11:23:08.244
Here's the "Status" file output:
sent job file at 11:23:01.281
getting end using 'pjl job/eoj' at 11:23:01.285
no end response from printer, timeout 0 at 11:23:08.229

(of) write error - Broken pipe at 11:23:08.244
(of) timeout at 11:23:08.244
Should I try forcing the ps waitend somehow - if I send the printer the
@PJL JOB/EOJ command manyally with netcat no response is received.
Thanks,
Luke
