Hi all.

I'm new to lprng and have the following problem with my setup:

There is a terminal server and some thin clients. Some of these clients have
a printer attached and are running a lprng with this printcap:

lp
  :server:sh:sf:direct_read:mx#0:ps=status
  :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp
  :lp=/dev/lp0

and on the terminal server:

kyocera|PS_1200 on server localhost
        :server:sh:direct_read:mx#0:ps=status
        :[EMAIL PROTECTED]
        :sd=/var/spool/lpd/kyocera
        :if=/usr/lib/filters/apsfilter/apsfilter

In fact there is a postscript printer attached, but it only prints pure text
- not interpreted postscript when doing "lpr -Pkyocera /etc/printcap":
%!PS_Adobe-3.0
                 %% Title: stdin
                                 %% For: daemon
etc.

Is there an obvious error in my setup? Looks like some wrong linefeeds?
Anyway: Is there a way to run the client lprng without the need for a spool
directory?

Thanks in advance,
-Cajus Pollmeier
