hmm,
there seems to be some stupidities in the RFC1179 like connections only
being accepted from privileged ports which are obsolete these days and
can be a bottleneck. In your case I think that SunOS not only follws the
RFC but also only accepts controlfile entrys in the exact order as in
the original Berkley implementation. The RFC only describes the syntax
of the entries, the order is not fixed. Perhaps the flag should be
renamed: 'The Berkley over fullfill flag' ;-)
Patrick could probably give you further informations on the background
of his flag...
