Hello

I've RTFM to the point of hair lose, well, nearly:)
But still can not get an HP LaserJet 6L to print anything but text.

The system is capable of SPP, EPP, or ECP, tried all.
Tried rw mode and wo mode.
With the port (in the BIOS) set to SPP it will print text.
In bi-directional mode (EPP/ECP) it starts to do something, then just
hangs.

In bi-directional mode, at boot time the kernel reports that it finds an
HP printer on 'parport0'.

Rock Linux system, devfs, 2.4.2 kernel, LPRng 3.7.4,
ifhp 3.4.4, new install, latest versions of most every thing.

Note that I'm new to printer configuration and am probably just missing
something stupid, but don't know what.

My printcap file looks like:
lp:
        :lp=/dev/printers/0
        :rw
        :sd=/var/spool/lpd/%P
        :ifhp=model=hp6l
        :filter=/usr/local/libexec/filters/ifhp

I have also tried other veriations...

Can someone send me an example of a working printcap file? for an hp6l?

Thanks
