Actually its the driver, as far as i can see there is no
support for duplex in ifhp for hp4000. However the hp4050 is
almost identical to the hp4000. so try replace the model hp4000
to hp4050.
that is change the line
:ifhp=model=hp4000
to
:ifhp=model=hp4050
