Well, you have two lp= entries for this printer, which looks like a bug.
Try deleting the line that says ":lp=/dev/null".

        Subject: LPRng: Problems with LPRng-3.6.24

Hello,

We are experiencing som problems with the following:

Printcap entry on old server running lprng LPRng-3.6.12

**********************
lw131
        :bp=/home/prdb/filters/uabban
        :cm=Type\072 HP DesignJet 650C, Dept\072 D, Location\072 2203060
        :ifhp=model=hpdj650c
        :bk
        :lp=AUTO@lw131
        :sd=/extra/spool/%P
        :lp=/dev/null
        :vf=/home/prdb/filters/ifhp -c

*******************************

lpq -Plw131 gives:
Printer: lw131@printserver (dest AUTO@lw131) 'Type: HP DesignJet 650C,
Dept: D, Location: 2203060'
Queue: no printable jobs in queue
Status: job 'root@uabs25+582' removed at 17:18:13.138
JetDirect lpd: no entries

Printcap entry on new server running LPRng-3.6.24

**********************
lw131
        :bp=/home/prdb/filters/uabban
        :cm=Type\072 HP DesignJet 650C, Dept\072 D, Location\072 2203060
        :ifhp=model=hpdj650c
        :bk
        :lp=AUTO@lw131
        :sd=/extra/spool/%P
        :lp=/dev/null
        :vf=/home/prdb/filters/ifhp -c

*******************************

lpq -Plw131
Printer: lw131 is AUTO@localhost
Printer: auto@printserver_new - ERROR: spool queue for 'auto' does not
exist on server printserver_new
non-existent printer or you need to run 'checkpc -f'

If you run, lpq -Pauto@lw131. You get a correct answer back:

lpq -Pauto@lw131
JetDirect lpd: no entries

Any suggestions would be appreciated

/Christian
