I've been trying to configure LPRNG on a Linux box
to forward print jobs to a server running on Solaris
system. What comes out of the printer is the control
file, while the data files (what was supposed to be
printed) are piling up in the Solaris spool directory,
unprinted.
I suppose I'm making some simple mistake in configuration.
Has anyone seen this switch of data and control files before?
Any suggestions would be welcome.
I've tried: send_data_first and send_data_first@
force_localhost and force_localhost@
No luck either way ...
The entry for my printer in /etc/printcap looks like this:
lj2g6cal:sh:mx#0:rm=lphost:rp=lj2g6cal:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lj2g6cal
I've also tried the :bk: flag in /etc/printcap.
Configuration details:
client: SuSE Linux 6.4, kernel 2.2.14, LPRNG 3.6.12
server: Solaris 2.5
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
