Hello everyone--

This isn't necessarily an LPRng-specific question, but perhaps
someone here knows the answer.

We're deploying a DesignJet 800ps plotter into an unattended lab
situation where students are still billed for their output.

Unfortunately, this DesignJet speaks very little PJL, so we're forced
to retrieve page counts via PostScript instead. No problem, except
that the PostScript page count is incremented well before the job is
actually printed on the paper. So if a student hits "cancel" in
mid-job, we will nevertheless bill them for the (unprinted) output.

Does anyone have experience with this (or the 500/ps) plotter?

Is there an equivalent to the DelayedOutputClose variable I've used
on other (laser) printers ?

Thanks,
