(I think this message fell into the 60GByte issue recnetly. Thus I
resend):

Hi,

maybe that's a stupid question but I couldn't find a solution in the
HOWTO:

We print PostScript jobs to a Canon Copier with LPRng (3.5.1). The
printcap looks like:

cp|copy_prt|cp_11x17|cp_dbl|cp_foil:lp=%P@appa:tc=.client
cp:server
        :cm=DC RTP,Netzwerkdrucker,-,Canon on ESI Printbox,Canoncopier/printer,-,-,A4
an ESI-Printbox,model=ccc
        :ifhp=model=ccc
        :tc=.laser
        :bq=print@cp

and .laser is defined like:

.laser:
        ...
        :fx=flcdgnprtvx
        :qq
        :sh

Everything is fine apart from one problem:
Even with the ":sh" option we get a banner page for each job sent.
With "lpr -h" the banner page goes away.

I know how to turn off the banner page permanentely for HP printers,
but not with this device.

Does some helpful soul know how to turn of the banner page
via some printcap option? In other words emulate "lpr -h" with LPRng?

The printer replies to SNMP
wig@mazurka:(...PRng_DOC-3.5.3)67>snmpwalk cp public 1

Thanks, bye
Wilfried
