It does work indeed. (the NOT SERVER suggestion I also received does not,
for whoever's information). My last question about this is whether I can
cause an lpr request to this printer to fail more noisily (ie. not
silently, akin to how lpd handles printing to a disabled spool). Is this
possible somehow?
