I am having a heck of a time getting LPRng to work generating banner
pages under Solaris 8.
System information:
LPRng 3.7.4 and 3.7.5 tried, downloaded from astart.com
IFHP 3.4.4
uname: SunOS XXXXXX 5.8 Generic_108528-09 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-4
Hardware: Sun Enterprise 450, 4x450 procs, 4G RAM
Destination printer: Networked HP Laserjet 4050TN
First off, my printcap file:

Without generate_banner, everything works correctly, except no banner
page. With generate_banner, and lpd running in -D10, I get the
following interesting lines in the log file:

it's big, over a meg.
This happens with any banner program, I've tried self-made ones, and the
ones provided (psbanner, etc). All cause the above effect.
Any suggestions/recommendations appreciated.
