I've seen one other meesage regarding this problem, posted by Eric Thorsnes. But I did not see any replies. I have this exact same error. I am installing 3.7.8 on a new system to replace an older one, and the old version of lprng that I was running is 3.7.4, and I've confirmed that the installations are [pretty darn close at least, to] identical. Has any one else seeen this error or know what it means? the man page for check pc is not helpful at all in debugging it. when doing checkpc -V, It get's past most of it, but when comparing to the old machine (3.7.4) it lists: .names ascii bw bweco etc. .all ascii bw bweco etc. but i never see this with 3.7.8, just the aforementioned error. Any help would be appreciated.
