Yes. We have this problem with an HP Color LaserJet (no number designation).
Also, if you run out of paper, or if there is a jam in the printer for long
enough, you will get multiple copies.
The problem is the printer goes comatose when processing a job. Ifhp is
asking for printer status, but the status doesn't come back in time.
On our systems, I've added the following printcap option:
:ifhp=waitend_interval=100000
(merge this in with any other :ifhp options you have)
This waitend interval will cause ifhp to wait long enough to warm up the
printer from powersave mode or to get jams or paper-out conditions corrected.
If someone can come up with a better solution, I'd be thrilled to hear about
it. I started out with printer timeout values, but those are all maxed out,
and the problem still exists.
