Hello guys, I'm having problems with configuration of LPRng. I have print server with Samba 2.2.2. I was using CUPS, but after I upgraded to 1.1.10, it stopped working properly and after week of problems I decided to go for LPRng. The situation is: 1 Samba server 9 HP Jetdirects with attached printers ( HP LJ 4000, HP LJ 6P, HP LJ 1100a, HP DJ 895Cxi, HP DJ OfficeJetK80( using driver for DJ 970Cxi), 3x Epson DFX 8500, Kyocera FS1000+). Now can somebody help me with setup and tuning of this situation? I've searched the mailing list, but the info I've found isn't enough for me, 'cause I use this for 4 hours, and I need a little jumpstart. So, I installed LPRng, LPRngTool, ifhp. Using LPRng created all the entries in printcap and tried it. Something works, something not. And I'm having problems with filters. I get errors, that postscript isn't supported, and it tries to abort the printing. But it seems to hang with it. So I removed filters, but now I don't have printer drivers. Can somebody guide me how to do it right? thanks in advance, Dezider.
