I see ALERT OPERATOR frequently on my queues, and actually wish to do just that (please excuse me if I asked this question before or something like it). I would probably be most interested in smbclient'ing the lab staff (they aren't near the printers in one lab) and letting them know when that message appears and showing them the rest of the message. Are there any hooks I can use to do this (or, if not, here is a feature request), or will I be doing cron to look through lpq and smbclient them myself?
