I have been printing via Samba to LPRng now for some years. When doing that I can se the jobs in the LPRng-printerqueue in the windows queue status window and even remove jobs.
Now I am setting up the printers to directly print via LPR to LPRng-lpd but now the printjobs almost directly disappears from the queue-status even though they are still in the queue on the server. Is this due to some compatibility-problem, misconfiguration or just as it should be?
