Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me with a problem I've
been hitting my head against for the last 3 weeks.
When I send a job to the print queue, it just sits
there. The job never actually prints.
Gone right through IFHP-HOWTO-10 (Debugging and
Problem Solving) and all the tests work. Ran through the scripts, all work.
Manually running ifhp with dev= prints the file. Using ifhp to output to a file,
and then using lpr -Phost%port < /tmp/t prints the file.
I am really lost, would very much appreciate some
help. It's like lprng is waiting on something (or perhaps ifhp is). I've tried
turning on and off all the status paramaters in various combinations.
Individually they print fine, but there's no printing when combined. The data
led flashes 9-10 times, but the motor doesn't even start.
Even tried lpd_bounce, though that only appears to
apply to RFC1179 style transfers.
Printer is an HP8150dn, but I have the same results
with an HP2200dn. LPRng 3.8.6. ifhp-3.5.4.
printcap entry is:-
.common:
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/%P :sh:mx=0:mc=0 kwd-y106-lj8150dn|8150
:tc=.common :lp=kwd-y106-lj8150dn%9100 :filter=/local/apps/lprng/filters/ifhp :ifhp=model=hp8150,trace,debug=1 TIA,
Antony.
PS: Even if it's something pathetically simple,
please tell me! :-)
