For printing to a 3rd tray, you often have the problem that this tray in "Hardwarecoded" to "letter" format. In the 4050, the (optional) third papertray was configured as "letter" (small green weel at the right side of the tray). So if you send the command to use A4 paper, it will not work at all, cause the printer takes the next possible tray where he thinks A4 is! Maybe this helps? Dietmar
