Unfortunately, it's official - it's not working. It's a little odd though...

If I lpr a job from the command line:

lpr -Ppxlmono ~chris/thing.txt

it'll just end up sitting in the /var/spool/lpd/pxlmono directory (i.e. the
hf* df* and cf* files are there).

If I tail status.pr as it's going, i can see some ghostscript errors (I
think...)

[root@osiris pxlmono]# tail status.pr -f

Has anyone successfully printed with a Canon LBP 1000? the gsif errors look
straightforward enough - 'Unrecoverable error: rangecheck
in .putdeviceprops'. I had a cruise through google groups, and it looks
like a bpp error i.e. I need to tell ghostscript to print with 3 or 8bpp,
not 1...

I couldn't find any references to the other errors, however.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
