Situation: I think we need some new printers here for some of our labs. After
seeing people's reports on various printers, I'm concerned the printer I want
doesn't actually exist. :(

The installation I'm looking for will print 45,000-60,000 pages/month. We
currently have 3 HP LJ8000's doing this work.

Problems I've seen so far:

HP LJ8000:
-requires new paper-input unit every 250k-350k pages
        -printer gets into a snit periodically where all jobs print zero pages;
         requires power-off/power-on to clear
        -accounting more or less works
HP LJ8100:
        -PIU survives longer
        -same snit as the LJ8000's
        -accounting also works

I've been eyeing other printer brands, such as the DocuPrint N2625. Working
accounting, one way or another, is a must, though, and the war stories I've
read say this printer isn't set for prime-time page-accounted printing. There
have been some Tek Phaser 7700(?) accounting problems, too, I thought.

Does anyone have a printer that handles this sort of capacity, with a robust
rendering engine AND can handle page accounting reliably in an automated
fashion? (I know I'm asking for the world here, but it's worth a try...)
