I have redone the low level 'wait for printer code' in ifhp. I have tested this on several printers, but due to lack of samples, I have not done it on a wide range. If you have reported problems, could you please try this version out and see if it fixes anything? Note: I have NOT tested this with Linux USB. If you have a USB printer and Linux, I would be VERY interested in the results.
