Heya everyone!
This is a PCL/PS printer/copier we have on our network, and on our current
system it's set up using regular LPR using the following printcap entry:
canon2|canon:\
:sh:\
:rm=canon2.corp.lumeta.com:mx#0:\
:sd=/var/spool/output/canon2:lf=/var/log/lpd-errs:rp=print:\
:rw=true:
On our soon-to-be-deployed replacement system, using LPRng we have:
##LPRNGTOOL## QUEUE filtertype=IFHP
ifhp_options=status@,sync@,pagecount@,waitend@ printerdb_entry=pcl
lp2|canon2
:af=acct
:cm=canon2.corp.lumeta.com
:filter=/sw/ifhp/filters/ifhp
:ifhp=model=pcl,status@,sync@,pagecount@,waitend@
:lf=log
:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
:lprngtooloptions=FILTERTYPE="IFHP"
IFHP_OPTIONS="status@,sync@,pagecount@,waitend@" PRINTERDB_ENTRY="pcl"
:mx=0
:prefix_z=duplex
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/%P
:sh
Now.. when I print using the old LPR system, things print fine... but when
I print using the new system, I get two initial pages that have nothing but
%! on them--then the rest of my print job.
Anyone have any idea why this would be happening? It's quite odd... :/
Thanks,
Glenn
