In lpd.conf (probably /etc/lpd.conf, but this is system-dependent),
enable save_on_error.  That is, replace the commented-out default
line that says "#   default save_on_error@ (FLAG off)" with
a line that says "save_on_error" (no "#" at beginning, no "@").
Do "lpc reread", and things should change.
