Hi Linda, Thank you for the post. Hmmm, I decided to try the process of elimination - Not the apsfilter since I comment out the filter line and still 1 page - Not the lprng since I use regular bsd lpr and still 1 page - Should not be samba since I just don't see any magic word saying "print copies = yes" :)
Which leaves me to believe it's windows 2000. Funny, in the end, it's not the open source that's the problem, it's the commercial app. I'm using the HP 560C printer driver in windows since whenever I try to add the printer, windows insists on installing the driver in itself. Perhaps it just doesn't like samba :) Oh well, I think I'll just accept it as a limitation and enjoy my nice 1 page printed. Cheers. Like I said I have know idea why it works but I print multiple copies all the times from windows. Linda if you want to automatically load your printer list rather # than setting them up individually then you'll need this printcap name = /etc/printcap load printers = yes # It should not be necessary to spell out the print system type unless # yours is non-standard. Currently supported print systems include: # bsd, sysv, plp, lprng, aix, hpux, qnx printing = bsd # NOTE: If you have a BSD-style print system there is no need to # specifically define each individual printer [printers] comment = All printers path = /var/spool/samba browseable = no guest ok = yes writable = no public = yes printable = yes ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- YOU MUST BE A LIST MEMBER IN ORDER TO POST TO THE LPRNG MAILING LIST The address you post from MUST be your subscription address If you need help, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or lprng-requests or lprng-digest-requests) with the word 'help' in the body.
