Hi,
I'm trying to build ifhp V. 3.5.7 on a sparc running SunOS 4.1.4,
but the process is aborted with the error message:
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/work/ifhp-3.5.7/src'
gcc -lresolv -o ifhp ifhp.o accounting.o checkcode.o debug.o errormsg.o globmatch.o
open_device.o perlobj.o plp_snprintf.o safemalloc.o safestrutil.o stty.o vars.o -lposix
collect2: ld returned 2 exit status
ld: Undefined symbol
_strerror
make[1]: *** [ifhp] Error 1
The configure gives:
....
checking for strerror... no
....
checking for sys_errlist array... yes
checking for sys_errlist declaration...
....
The LPRng V. 3.8.10 compiled ok and is working well. Where is ld
suppposed to find "strerror" ? Maybe a lack of a library in my system ?
I'm using an old gcc version (2.7.2), but LPRng compiled ok
without any dificulties.
Any tips would be apreciated!
Arthur
