I recently installed LPRng-3.8.12/ifhp-3.5.8 in a RedHat 6.2 box. By default lpq is supposed to show the last completed/errored job even after it has been removed from queue. This is useful. However, in this case, for some reason the job that was printed first after starting lpd always is displayed as done although several other jobs were completed -after- it. Second, for some reason, the cf/df/hf files that correspond to that job continue staying in the queue directory even after the job has been completed. In addition to the first printed job, some other jobs seem to leave their files in the queue directory too, though, I couldn't figure out why this happens to some jobs and not to others. Running "lprm" removed the queue files and the "done" entry from the lpq output until the next job is printed whose files again get stuck in the queue directory. What's going on? I think this is not a normal behavior.
