If you install LPRng on the HP systems, you can use the simple printcap entry: lp:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:force_localhost@ where lp is replaced by the print queue and server.ip.address by the server DNS name or IP address. You do not need to run the LPD server unless you want very reliable job transfer, or the time taken to transfer the jobs to the spooler is very long.
