I ended up resending the df files, since they were postscript to begin with.
There were 250 jobs and when I resent them one at a time it overwhelmed the
queue and caused the error. I had to set a wait time between sending to get
it to work. I read somewhere that this may be caused by not enough file
descriptors (first it says it cant lock the file, then it cant open it).
Will opening up the file descriptors work? Or is there some other fix for
this problem?

in the directory but I cannot seem to get the queue to see them again. Is
there a way to get the queue to see these and print them? Also, is there a
fix for the file open error?

I don't know whether it will do it right, but have you tried "lpc redo"
on them? (You'll have to specify the queue, and to pull the job numbers
out of the filenames.) I suspect that's all you need, but I don't know.

Failing anything better, can you parse any *essential* options out of the
control files & queue up the df files (or copies of them) as new jobs?
