I am running LPRng 3.8.10 on Solaris 8and after approx 2 weeks I see
LPD: fork failed! LPD not accepting any requests in the system log.
Top reports that lpd is 45M in size
29627 root 1 58 0 45M 45M sleep 81:33 0.80% lpd
and no queue has any active jobs, after I stop and start the daemon drops
to
829 root 1 38 0 2608K 1112K sleep 0:00 0.13% lpd
