I have a simple samba/printcap configuration:
- RH7.3
- HP Deskjet 960c on parallel port
- Printing through Samba 2.2.5 -> LPRng
This setup has worked flawlessly from since RH6.1 through RH7.2, using
LPRng-3.7.4. However, when I try to upgrade to LPRng-3.8.15, printing of
graphics images (e.g., a Yahoo map) fails. The top inch or so of the first
page prints, then the printer spits out the first page, and starts spitting
out mostly blank pages until I 'lprm' it. Reverting back to LPRng-3.7.4
fixes the problem.
Comparing log files (debug level 3) doesn't show much. I'm getting
hp: setstatus: msg 'error 'JWRERR''
but I'm not sure if that's caused by the 'lprm' call. Configuration
settings are below. Anybody have any idea what's causing this or what I can
do to track it down?
Thanks in advance,
Carey
