People,
I'm trying to set-up load-balanced queues for HP Laserjet 4000 (and
thereabouts) printers.
According to the printer manuals, software settings are supposed to override
printer menu configuration, which I take to mean ifhp -Z options changing
postscript, but I'm finding the opposite - the duplex (and probably long-edge
binding) settings in the menus seem to blast away any ifhp stuff.
Any ideas?
Here is a chunk of my printcap, given the rather high probability that I got
it wrong:

I'm sure there are much better and prettier ways to do this. For now I'm
just looking for basic functionality.
thanks for any help
