Dear Clever People, I have been trying to set-up printing from win XP through my linux/lprng print server. Not having much luck.
What I figured should work was: Add Printer/ Local/ Create Port [TCP/IP, LPR, print-server's DNS name, queue name of printer] / ... Driver: generic? or proper one? (HP 4000) (Apologies - I am doing this from memory, don't have the XP box here) But this fails - print jobs disappear with no trace. If anyone has done this, I'd love to know where I went wrong. thanks Glen -- Glen Davison [EMAIL PROTECTED] Computer System Administrator phone: +61 2 9385 7018 Maths, UNSW fax: +61 2 9385 7192 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- YOU MUST BE A LIST MEMBER IN ORDER TO POST TO THE LPRNG MAILING LIST The address you post from MUST be your subscription address If you need help, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or lprng-requests or lprng-digest-requests) with the word 'help' in the body.
