All, We run a large enterprise printing system on campus. We require authentication and accounting for all print jobs in our labs. We currently are having difficulties with print jobs getting stalled in the queues. This is an intermittent problem. It seems to be a result of waiting for ifhp to receive the final bit of data from the accounting server. We get this message : "waiting for subserver to exit at ...." we tried this setup here
:lp=/dev/null :ifhp=model=xxx,dev=host%port,appsocket and the jobs just fly through the system however the accounting doesn't work correctly A one page job prints fine but reports itself as 0 pages (Whoopee!! Free printing) three page jobs print ok but report as 2 pages. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
