Two solutions:

telnet to port 9000 on the printer and turn off banner pages.

Better: Use port 9100 protocol instead of lpr protocol for printing. You will have to read the LPRng (and optionally ifhp) documentation.

Excuse my poor english...
Since the replacement of the motherboard of a Lexmark T616 printer , we got the following problem: every job is
preceded by a banner generated by the printer.
The firmware is 3.20.20.

We use LPRng-3.6.24-2 on a Redhat 7.0 system.
The printcap entry is :
biglex:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/%P:\
:mx#0:\
:sh:\
:rm=biglex:\
:cm=Carte Lexmark Lexmark T616 B.145 $http$:\
:rp=pr1:\
:af=/var/spool/lpd/acct

Thanks for your answer
