Thanks. Looks like useful info to check... but I installed another lpd today which worked straight away. When I'm more free, I'll try your suggestions with lprng to see if that helps. BTW - In the past I had 'floyd-stineburg' (sp) filtering to dither low res graphics. Is that still available?
