Hello there! I have been digging around the docs for quite a while, but I
haven't been able to find a solution. I hope you can help me.
The setup is this:
We run a Debian Linux print server, with lprng 3.8.15-1 installed. It has
a Brother MFC-9870 on the parallel port. We use the hl7x0 magicfilter to
filter the print jobs, and it prints fine as long as it prints. The
problem arises when a client sends multiple jobs close in time. Example:

client> lpr test1 && lpr test2 && lpr test3

Each test file is pure text, seven characters long
The client logs (in /var/spool/lpd/lp/status.pr) that it successfully
sends and prints each job, exact same output save job number and subserver
PID.
The server, however, takes the first job (usually) and prints it fine and
leaves output of this in status.pr. For the two subsequent jobs, however,
the only listing in the server's status.pr is that the job has been
removed. Example:

job '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' removed at 2003-04-02-13:02:41.506 ##
[EMAIL PROTECTED] number=902 process=32675

The jobs never appear on the lpq or elsewhere except for the one line in
status.pr. I have tried tweaking the connect_grace, network_connect_grace
and connect_interval in lpd.conf both on server and client, but to no
avail. Does anyone have a clue?
Thank you in advance.
