Hi all,
YALC is a partial LPRng client for Windows. Partial means that the lpc
clone does not have an interactive mode, there is no encryption and no
authentication and the -l option for the lpq clone is simplified.
Neithertheless it is more complete than most other free Win32 lpr
client packages I saw.
The main purpose is to run the printop Tcl script to manage print
queues on Windows systems.

Versions before 1.2.2 contained a bug causing
  klpc start <printer>
to fail. This is fixed now.

The YALC website can be found at
http://et.fh-schmalkalden.de/personen/dhp/krause , choose
"Software (english)" and "YALC - Win32 lpr".

Sources can be downloaded at
http://et.fh-schmalkalden.de/personen/dhp/krause/Download/yalc.tar.gz .

Win32 binaries are available as
http://et.fh-schmalkalden.de/personen/dhp/krause/Download/w32-full.exe ,
this file does not only install YALC but some other of my programs too.
DLLs are used for zlib and some other libraries. If you want static
binaries to avoid DLL collisions you can use
http://et.fh-schmalkalden.de/personen/dhp/krause/Download/w32-stat.exe
this installation uses static versions of my and other libraries.
There are four installation types, you can choose either english or
german language and compact installation (binaries and docu) or
full installation (binaries, docu and sources). The default is full installation
in english.

Regards,

Dirk
