- In the list of needed packages you mention "foomatic-db-gimp-print". This is not needed for the printer setup described in your document. This package contains XML data files describing the options of the GIMP-Print driver. This XML data is used by the "foomatic-db-engine" package to generate PPD files locally. As you have downloaded your PPD files from linuxprinting.org, you do not need "foomatic-db-gimp-print".
- The best way to print the documentation pages is
echo x | lpr -Z docs
This does not depend on the existence of a certain file and so it work with every OS and independent of what you have in your home directory.
- In your sample /etc/printcap you define the queue "hpoj155bwduplex" twice, the first definition should probably read "hpoj155draftbwduplex".

Hello List,
I was fiddling around and finally got lprng and foomatic to talk. The exising documentation is pretty good, but some parts I didn't get. I was
so happy how it worked out i converted work's printers from the hpijs
mess they were using and put them on foomatic too.
Anyhow I wrote up how I did it here: http://small.dropbear.id.au/docs/lprngfoo.html
Comments are welcome.
