I would like to know if there is a way to obtain the name of the document printed. I mean, I know that each document printed is assigned to a job (process) but I would like to know the original name of the document printed.
What I intend to do is to log those names in a database to know who has printed each document. (By the way, every printer will be defined on my linux server and all printing jobs will be associated to a spool on this server) In that way, I will know how many people will have printed a specific document and so on.
If you think there is another way to distinguish a document from another by using another checking method just feel free to tell me, I will greatly welcome your idea.
Thanks in advance for your replies,
Jonny
