Hi all, Once again thank you for your valued input. I don't mean to pass the book here but Samba appears to be working as it should. By using the CAT command for the print command I can generate the output on the Linux box and if I print using the normal command the spool file appears on the Linux box and then disappears as if it is passed to the spooler for printing. This would tend to tell me that all is well on the Samba front and the problem lies with my spooler setup.
To answer some of your more specific questions:- i) Samba version is 2.28a ii) I can print from the local Red Hat box no problem what so ever. iii) I have changed the debug level to 6, restarted samba, sent a print and checked for errors in the logs and there is nothing. iv) I repeated each of your changes to the smb.conf file and repeated the above procedure and still no errors or output. I know this is a really annoying problem, I am really pulling my hair out now. Each day that passes is another day my Windows 2000 spooler is running, and it is failing big time. Yesterday the spooler crashed 4 times and all jobs that were printing at the time were lost, we desperately want to get off Windows for our printing. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.
