Here is more-or-less the /etc/printcap entry we use. We don't
recharge other units for its use which simplifies life ocnsiderably. I'm
leaving in the comments, which might be useful.

No claims the printcap is optimal but it does crank out posters
reliably. Note we aren't using ifhp on this one; no need for duplex and
stapling and different paper trays and the like here!

We have also used Appletalk with it and (if I remember correctly)
 Ethertalk/Appletalk (netatalk's pap) through lprng...that works too.

# Although much more expensive to buy, the hp5000ps is considerably
# cheaper to run, more reliable and much faster for picture type posters
# than the hp755cm.
#
# For line drawings the difference between it and the 755cm are relatively
# minor, especially if we use the cheap, fast drying, paper in the 755cm
# and the glossy, slow drying paper, in the hp5000ps.
#
# On posters sometimes people crank up the resolution, which slows
# things down considerably at no gain AT ALL if you are looking at it from
# 3 feet away!
