Now it wouldn't, whatever filter I use.
The ASCII comes up okay; though by default
line1
line2I could change that with lpf, but then Postscript doesn't come out. So I tried
Generic Postscript PCL only default (HP4M ...) LaserJet 4 Family (pcl_gs) LaserJet 5 Family (hp5)
Whatever I do, the output is a rim of paper printed full PS script; with the first line
%!PS-Adobe-2.0
%%Titel: testpage-a4.fig
... and so forth.
Maybe I'm doing something very stupid, but before it worked and currently it also works flawlessly to a Lexmark 322.
Both are 9100-printers.
Sorry to add that the LaserJet 5N works flawlessly from a Windows-client, as well.
