Well after much waiting for HP to get their act together I finally received a *beta* firmware that fixes the error for at least the PJL problem. I've been running the beta firmware for a little while now and it hasn't crashed yet, but it hasn't had heavy usage - this school term is over. The test for me will come in the fall when students start printing again.
A belated THANK YOU goes out to the people who tried my PJL code on their printers and gave me the results. It helped convince *me* and maybe HP that I wasn't insane! :) If anyone is interested in trying the beta firmware (~4MB) I've made it available at: http://www.scs.ryerson.ca/mforrest/print/MB7.116_BETA.rfu -- mATT ************************************************************************* A neurotic worries about going crazy, but never will A psychotic IS crazy, but doesn't worry about it! .......
