No readme.txt. No documentation. It's BETA... Use at your own risk...
Don't use in a production environment... blah, blah, blah
At some point in time I had to backout a firmware update. If you just
flash with an older version of the firmware it will replace the more
recent one - at least it did when I tried it. If for some odd reason that
doesn't work and your printer is still in waranty or you have a support
contract like we do, just call HP and have them send you a new firmware
module. If you want to test first to confirm, just DL (if you don't have
one) an older version of *official* firmware and flash a printer that's
running a more recent version. If it works you should be fine. If not,
call HP not me! :)
If you have a support contract with HP I'd recommend contacting them and
starting support case. It may be a good idea to reference the case that I
started to minimize the number of hoops you need to jump thru. If anyone
wants the details about my HP case number, contact me off-list.
I would *strongly* recommend contacting HP directly because the more
people they have complaining about this issue, the more likely they are to
do something usefull about it.
If you don't have a support contract with HP or are just too lazy to sit
in their damn support queue, send me the info and I'll pass it on.
