Hi,

the student application period for this year is over and you are lucky, having 3 student proposals:

- Anton Volkov: Development of Rule Specifications for Correct Usage of Kernel Core API

- Anton Volkov: Finding bugs related to the data races in Linux kernel

- Anton Vasilyev: Finding bugs related to the memory errors in Linux kernel

Note that there can be more applications which could/should be mentored by the LSB team which are not actually marked as for LSB. Especially check also the applications with Proposal Tag "others" and "kernel".

Please have a look into the applications in Google's web app to find out which are worthwile and which you want to mentor. Please tell me which these are and especially how many excellent (or pre-selected) there are (for the minimum slot count to request) and how many in total you think would have a chance to do their project (for the maximum slot count to requext).

If you want to have a look, help selecting, or even do mentoring, you need to get invited as mentor. Please tell me and I will invite you. Please tell me also the e-mail address you want to use for this process.

The deadline for us to request the slots from Google is April 17th. Please give me the slot numbers on the day before at the latest. Any (preliminary) slot numbers already before are welcome.

   Till
