I have read through the documentation and understand how LSC works I just want 
to know if it is normal behavior for a sync of 100,000 entries to take 1.5+ 
hours with or without changes.

First, you should take a look at
http://lsc-project.org/wiki/documentation/latest/basics to understand
how LSC works and why it does all these requests on your database. Then
you can get more logs if you edit logback.xml file and set a DEBUG loglevel.
