Okay, so this must have been a very odd mistake on my part. There is no 2.2 version of the schema available, only 2.1. I also checked the debian source packages and all only mention 2.1. So I do not know where I've introduced the typo, but it sure was a mistake on my part.

Moreover this validates correctly against xmllint with the local XSD-file. Here is problem number 2: running lsc, this did not change the error being raised: cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'lsc'. How can I get past this error?
