Hi,

Actually, I'm able to write it, but not when creating the entry.

If the entry is created, I can change the primarygroupid as long as the new
primary group is already in the memberOf attribute. However, this doesn't
remove the old primary group from memberOf so I also need to remove it manually.

In other words, I was looking for an « easy » way to do this.

Thanks anyway :)

Hi all,

Is there a simple way to specify a PrimaryGroupId when creating a user in AD?

By default, it is created in « Domain user » group but for some users, I don't
want them to be in this group.

Thanks in advance!

Looking to AD schema, this attribute seems to be writable only by system:

You can try to write it, but I think you will get an error from AD.
