Regarding your question re tcpserver (from

connections from TCP clients. For each connection, it runs prog, with
descriptor 0 reading from the network and descriptor 1 writing to the
network.



It would help lsh if it could use a single fd for both reading and
writing. Perhaps that works too (it should, if tcpd passes the raw
socket on to the program it starts).



Well, I can't help you with these details, that's beyond my understanding of how tcpserver works. Sorry.
